Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data Cygnus Voyages Private Limited collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Who we are

Cygnus Voyages Private Limited (“Cygnus”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in India. We operate this website and the Cygnus corporate travel platform. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Cygnus is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@bookcygnus.com.

2. What we collect

This website collects personal data in two ways.

Information you give us. When you submit a demo request or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, work email address, company name, team size, and anything you write in the message field.

Information collected automatically. If analytics is enabled, we collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device type, and browser. We do not use this to identify you personally.

We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect sensitive categories of personal data through this website.

3. Why we use it

  • To respond to your demo request or enquiry, and to schedule and conduct a demo.
  • To send you product updates and marketing communications you have asked to receive.
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations that apply to us.

We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, and for our legitimate business purposes as permitted under applicable law. You can withdraw consent at any time — see section 6.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as far as they need it to perform their function. These may include:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Customer relationship management and email delivery providers.
  • Analytics providers.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure the transfer is permitted under applicable law and that the data remains protected.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and demo-request data for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business relationship, and thereafter only as long as required for legal, tax, or audit purposes. Marketing subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you access to a summary of it.
  • Correct or complete data that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Erase your personal data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these, email contact@bookcygnus.com. We will respond within the period required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses cookies only where necessary to operate the site and, where enabled, to run analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so will not prevent you from using this website.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege provisioning — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Grievance officer

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, contact our grievance officer at contact@bookcygnus.com, marking your message for the attention of the Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it within the timelines set out in applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
